Who it is for?

We offer user-led and person-centred daily provision for people with learning disabilities, physical disabilities, mental health issues, profound and multiple disabilities, and people with autism and Asperger’s.

What we offer

We place creativity, choice and meaningful activity at the heart of every day. Monday to Friday, 10am–3pm, our service combines high-quality support with an inspiring programme designed to build confidence, independence and social connection. Adults can enjoy a wide range of engaging activities including arts-related, physical activity / wellbeing, community-based, Skills-based and digital. 

These creative sessions encourage self-expression, communication and enjoyment, while supporting individual abilities. We offer both shared and 1:1 / 2:1 support, delivered by skilled and compassionate staff who understand a range of support needs, including: personal care, medication and complex needs. Our welcoming, accessible environment helps adults feel valued, included and empowered, making every day at Create Connect purposeful, enjoyable and centred around what people love to do.

We have a community café, where clients can buy affordable, healthy food and drinks. 

Education

We offer an educational programme where everyone can gain AQA and Arts Award qualifications.  

Referral

Packages can be flexible, and we offer support from 9am to 11pm, 7 days a week. Our referral process is simple, and we will guide you through from referral to achievement.

We offer a wide range of flexible services – Based at The Create Centre, Denton and surrounding areas.  

Arts-related - drama, dance, music, art, craft, makaton sing and sign, makaton and BSL training, drumming, percussion, singing, guitar and other musical instrument instruction, acting, public-speaking, directing, producing, lighting, sound, costume, make-up, face and body-painting, knitting, crochet, sewing, creative-writing, poetry and script-writing

Physical activity / wellbeing - exercise, dancercise, sensory stimulation, creative-play, relaxation and interaction, meditation

Community-based - outings, healthy eating, healthy lifestyles, shopping, trampolining, swimming, cinema

Skills-based - cooking, baking, café skills training, reception skills training, cultural awareness and development, admin, finance, publicity, admin, marketing, advertising

Digital - DJ’ing skills, gaming, IT training and support, online education resources support, social media engagement support, photography, film, the use of Ipads, tablets, laptops, mobile phone support and accessing search engines to downlaod images, worksheets, quizzes and art-work.

Tameside Arts Limited – Delivering Social Value Through Digital Inclusion and Community Engagement

Tameside Arts Limited, based at The CREATE Centre in Denton and Tameside, is dedicated to delivering real social value to the local community by providing inclusive, creative, and digitally focused activities. Our mission is to empower individuals—particularly those from disadvantaged backgrounds, underrepresented groups, and those seeking new skills—by offering access to modern technology and the knowledge needed to thrive in today’s digital world.

Through a range of innovative and engaging activities, we aim to foster confidence,creativity, and connection within our community. From digital art and podcasting toonline safety and AI training, our programmes are designed to be accessible andsupportive. We encourage collaboration and community involvement by offeringshared platforms such as a community podcast and a digital art gallery where local voices and talents can be celebrated.

By investing in digital skills and promoting creativity, we support local people in becoming more employable, socially connected, and digitally literate. This not only benefits individuals but also strengthens the local economy and VCSE (Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise) sector. Through volunteering opportunities, flexible approaches, and inclusive events, we ensure our delivery of public value is meaningful and lasting.

Who are we: 

Tameside Arts Ltd is a not for profit arts organisation formed in 2005, providing a wide range of  creative opportunities for ages 8+ including weekly activities, specialised projects and  performances. Our main focus are our activity groups, providing opportunities for everyone to take  part in, lead and experience the arts in an equal, non-judgmental and accessible way. Most of our  work is suitable for everybody, however some groups, activities and events are delivered by and  intended for people (of all ages) with a wide range of support needs. We have particular expertise  in supporting. We are a welcoming and inclusive group, with a key focus of providing “Arts for All”  within Tameside and the surrounding area.

Our staff are trained and skills in areas including arts delivery, personal care, moving & handling,  manual handling and assisted transferring, hoisting, first-aid, safeguarding, behaviour  management, PROACT-SCIPr, M.A.P.P.A, C.I.T.R.U.S, childcare, Dementia, palliative care,  domestic violence, abuse, mental health & substance abuse,  mental health awareness, dual diagnosis, counselling, Health & safety, Food hygiene, rescue  medication, Dysphagia, emergency medications in Epilepsy, gastrostomy-feeding, intensive  interaction, objects of reference, Autism awareness, Makaton, Sign Language, Fire safety, AQA,  Arts Award, Risk Assessment, Inclusive dance, Equality & Diversity, Dance in Education,  Occupational standards, Models of Disability, sexual health awareness, recovery coaching.  

We have 20 staff.
